東芝戦は非常に落胆した敗戦でした。21-7でリードしてハーフタイムを迎えたわれわれは、この試合に勝たなければなりませんでした。

ところが東芝がチームとして良い姿で試合に戻ってくることを許していまい、彼らはサンゴリアスのお粗末な出来映えにつけ込みました。

われわれは自分たちの何が悪かったのかを、よく考えねばなりません。日本選手権での試合では、そこに取り組み、そしてそれを排除するためのハードな練習が必要です。

ファイナルでプレーするということは、プレッシャーに適応し、そしてそれを吸収することが必要とされます。東芝戦で、サンゴリアスはそれを続けることができませんでした。ですからわれわれは次のゲームのために、その対策を見つけ出さなければなりません。

It was an extremely disappointing loss against Toshiba. Going into half-time leading 21-7 we should have won this game convincingly.

Instead we allowed Toshiba back into the game and like any good team, they capitalised on our poor execution.

We need to look at where we let ourselves down, address them and work hard to eliminate them from our game in the Japan Cup.

Playing in finals you need to be able to apply pressure and absorb pressure. We failed to do this consistently yesterday – so we need to find a way to do this for the upcoming games.
